SAT NAV USERS – Our post code covers a large geographical area and some sat-navs have a tendency to direct you along a road about a mile away from the cottage. Google Maps however has our exact location (as shown above) and if you search for “Pen-Y-Fedw Cottage or “Llangollen Holidays” you should be directed straight to the door. Alternatively you can follow our directions below. As always, if you have any issues, please don’t hesitate to call us 01691718115.

From the North

Take the M56-M53-A55 heading towards Chester followed by the A483 to Wrexham. You’ll be on the A483 for approximately 17 miles until you reach the Halton roundabout in Chirk (by the McDonalds). Here take the exit for Chirk / Ceiriog Valley and follow the signs for Chirk / Ceiriog Valley. In Chirk turn right and follow the B4500 for 7 miles, travelling alongside the river as you head up the valley, passing through the villages of Pontfadog, and Dolywern. Glyn Ceiriog is the last village that you will come to before you will head up the mountain to the cottage.

From The South

Follow the M6 / M54, until you reach the A5 junction in Shrewsbury. Here you should follow signs for Oswestry. Continuing along the A5 (Oswestry by-pass), until you reach the Gledrid roundabout, just outside Chirk (there is a BP garage on the right just off the roundabout). At this roundabout follow signs for Chirk / Ceiriog Valley. In Chirk turn left and follow the B4500 for 7 miles, travelling alongside the river as you head up the valley, passing through the villages of Pontfadog, and Dolywern. Glyn Ceiriog is the last village that you will come to before you will head up the mountain to the cottage

Arrival at Glyn Ceiriog

As you come into Glyn Ceiriog head through the village until you reach the roundabout by the Glyn Valley Hotel. Go straight across the roundabout and drive approximately 0.5 miles until you see a right fork signposted Nantyr. Stay on this narrow wooded road for 1 ½ miles until you finally reach the top of the mountain, where you will notice a junction (post box on the left), turn right here and remain on this road for approximately 400 metres. You will then reach a further junction, turn left and stay on this road for 300 metres; Pen-Y-Fedw Cottage is the second on the right.
